History

Martin Bionics has been a recognized innovation company who has specialized in research, design and commercialization of advanced technology for the prosthetics industry, ergonomics, sports equipment, man/machine interfaces, and others.  Our innovative designs spawn from extensive clinical background in prosthetics, with a core understanding of how the human body and external mechanical and electrical systems relate. This same understanding can be easily applied outside of prosthetics - to designs that relate to how the human body interacts with its surroundings in general.

Our research has been funded by private contracts, and federal and state research grants.  This includes multiple grants from the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST).  In order to protect our innovative intellectual property, all of our technology is patented or patent pending.

We strive to commercialize our innovative designs in order to bring our high-tech applications to the end user.  To this end we have successful commercialized several of our innovations.  In April 2008, Martin Bionics merged its orthotic and prosthetic technologies with Orthocare Innovations (www.orthocareinnovations.com), forming one of the largest and most advanced private orthotic and prosthetics research groups in the nation.  

Martin Bionics Innovations is a new chapter.  While we continue to innovate and commercialize various new concepts, we have a special focus on educating and empowering others to change the world through innovation as well.
